One of the things I found that works well is to limit the number of sites I post in the same day. Also, remember that many Social Bookmarking sites only allow you to submit 1 page per URL... other pages will not be accepted. Slow down the time of the submissions in the Preferences section... it will take longer but if you can go 30 secs inbetween multiple posts to the same SB site... the faster you try and jam them through the more rejections you will get.
I bought BMD a while back and had very limited success with it...similar to yours. I emailed the owner Edwin a number of times and executed any instructions he would give...and still abysmal results.
I finally asked for my money back, which was prompt with no problems.
My suggestion is to try Onlywire. It's cheap and it works pretty good as I have checked the accounts. It doesn't have as many sites as BMD, but it has all the big ones.
I'm a believer in the 80/20 rule...80% of the traffic comes from 20% of the sites and Onlywire covers just about all of them.

I get 60-80% success on most pages. I guess the trick is not to use the proxies and have multiple accounts with each site. My main problem with BMD is that ping feature. I still don't understand why it selects pages for pinging on accounts that weren't used.
Results from this software seem to take 1-2 months.
One more thing. Save your work frequently. I have at least 10 different accounts on 100's of sites each that I lost because of a power outage. An entire day wasted in seconds.

Bookmarking demon sucks. I have a list of about 280 accounts and the software could post successfully only to 70 websites. I waited for about 2 weeks and checked the serps for my unique login id for the accounts - I could find only 20 of those 70 pages.
On the other hand when I get the social bookmarking done manually, though it was a time consuming activity, I could see a good number my bookmarked pages appearing in SERPs.

I don't get why some of you are having such poor experience. I noticed that you seem to have confused the terms accounts and websites in the quote above.
I am not saying that anyone is doing anything completely wrong but I would never use a proxy unless it is one I control as they cause more problems than they solve. Set it to not spam massively, i.e. slow it down and make sure you don't try to post too many pages per day. Try not to post lots of pages from teh same site to the same account in a day, this will cause you problems.
If you take it easy and just use it to gain some backlinks it is very good and actually needn't take any time to use at all really. I generally start a bookmarking run each evening and let it crawl a new site and get me some backlinks. The next day I will leave it pinging to get the links indexed.
This seems to work well for me and I increase my visitors anywhere between 20%-200%. I also use autopligg and tend to get minimal increases in traffic but conversions increase a small amount. AP is pretty useless as the sites it uses are nearing on worthless now since so many people have AP but it costs nothing but a bit of bandwidth and CPU resources.
