Yeaahhhh... this rule really sucks. (The rule that says you can't post links until you've 'been a member here a bit longer')

BUT the reason it exists is:
1. To protect our forum from spammers, scammers, and
virus-laden file posters, etc.
2. To insure that only people who have earned it by providing enough posts
and knowing the forum's rules may share download links, files, etc.
3. To increase revenue for the forum by offering a paid short-cut to those
who don't want to wait by making at least 50 posts.

So... here's the big question:
How can you get past this rule?

As I understand it, you've got two choices:
1. Pay the fee to become a VIP. You should be able to post links.
(At least, I believe so)
2. Go to other threads other than the 'Downloads' section,
and make a shitload of posts (like over 50).
3. And contribute to the forum for a little while.
Sure... Leech all you like, but contribute a bit by sharing what you know,
making good points, or even asking good questions in several sections.

THE POSTS YOU MAKE IN THE 'DOWNLOAD' SECTION WILL NOT
COUNT TOWARDS YOUR POST TOTAL!!!!

Some of us (even the ones who've been around a while) found
that out the hard way.
Shoot - I've been a member here for almost 4 years! (LOVE IT!),
and have made hundreds of posts & shares, yet look at my post count--
it stands at a pathetic 26 or so (at the time I'm writing this...it'll increase soon).

Yeah, I don't like it, but what am I gonna do...Leave? Yeah right!

It's just the moderators' way of encouraging us members to
'spread the love around a little.'

Reminds me of some other words where that happens...
