I have been looking for new ways to rank my websites higher in the search engines, and I stumbled upon some interesting techniques and information.

Did you know that a myspace band page will give you a High Authority backlink?

It has to be a myspace band page only, and the link would go under band website.

Example:

Code:
http://www.myspace.com/timopienihuijaus

This myspace band page has a Page Authority of 59 (Page Rank 4) and a Domain Authority of 97! (Google is 100)

The Page Authority & Domain Authority ranges are from 1 to 100, and let me put it in this perspective:

One of my websites with over 140,000+ backlinks that is outranking 185,000,000+ websites (2nd page) has a Page Authority of only 60! (Page Rank 4) and a Domain Authority of 52!

There are only 35 backlinks linking to that myspace page! (SEO Quake, Mozilla Firefox, the "L" section at the top)

So what does this mean? This means that the specific myspace page timopienihuijaus has more authority in Google's eyes than my MASSIVE website.

And what do you know? The website listed on the myspace page is freeones.com (Alexa rank 574). This site has a Page Authority of 84 and Domain Authority of 81. This is VERY Authoritative in Google's eyes, and if you didn't know, freeones gets about 250,000+ visitors per day.

Here's something to consider: Make a myspace band page, use xrumer or scrapebox and get links back to it from all over the net, and have the band page link back to your site under "band website".

PS. I've seen this exact myspace band page method used with several other TOP websites that have an Alexa rating of less than 1,000.

This will give you a very high authority backlink.

Also, you can comment on other bands with your band profile, however, don't post any links. This will get your myspace band profile page a High Authority backlink from the band page you just commented on. (I repeat, DON'T post any links in the comment, the profile page by itself being commented with will receive the backlink automatically)

Think Outside Of The Box.

Anyways, that was just a teaser, ready for the Competitive Intelligence Technique?

Let's Start:

So how did I find the Page Authority & Domain Authority of these sites?

I used this new website that I found called Open Site Explorer (formerly known as Linkscape):

Code:
http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/

I would recommend that you register since it's free, and you can check unlimited backlinks all day long. You don't need to pay for a subscription, since I didn't pay myself, and was able to use the tool for what I needed.

So what Open Site Explorer does is that it gives you exact data on your own site or competitors.

You type in a website, and then just leave it as it is (Linking Pages tab) and you can see if the sites are do-follow / no-follow , the anchor text used, the Page Authority, and the Domain Authority.

You can find HIGH Authority websites to comment on (if it's blogs) or do link exchanges with.

You won't see a lot of pages, since you need to pay for subscription, however, I find the few websites that are given with the Page Authority & Domain Authority to be enough, since you are looking for the TOP AUTHORITY backlinks anyways.

You can also sort them by Highest Domain Authority or Highest Page Authority.

So how did it benefit me?

I did ONE link exchange with a Page Authority of 67, and Domain Authority of 60, and I moved up 8 positions in Google overnight!

I went from 3rd page position 25-30 to 2nd page position 18-20 in ONE DAY!

Bear in mind that there are 185,000,000 (without quotes) websites competing for this keyword, and 124,000,000 (with quotes) competing, so it's a very Competitive market.

This was a related website in my niche market, so it had HIGH AUTHORITY in Google's eyes for that market.

I have now given you the key to unlock the Secret Door.

The door that you unlock will tell you exactly what sites to do link exchanges and comments on. No more time wasted on useless backlinks.

To top it all off, here's a list of High Authority blog websites that I found, which you can use scrapebox for and extract the "external" links with the Addon "Link Extractor".

You can then harvest those links and find wordpress or movable backlinks to comment on. Or, you can sort them by highest page rank, and manually comment.

Here's the quick list:

Nice share. Is OpenSiteExplorer accurate for you?

I compared the #1 site to my site, and my site beats it on domain authority and page authority

Yes Open Site Explorer, I would say, is about 95% accurate for Competitive Intelligence.

Do remember that if a site has lower authority than yours but has a higher ranking could mean a few things:

1)Maybe they have the actual keyword in their domain, and you don't

2)Maybe their domain is aged and older than yours

3)Maybe they are getting High Authority sites linking to them, who are not linking to you

You have to consider these factors as well for yourself.

It's a good analyzing tool to have, so that you can get the highest authority backlinks in the shortest period of time without wasting time on useless link exchanges.

once you have scraped links with SB, can SB determine and filter the types of blogs they are? like which are wp, be, mt?

What I do is take the external links extracted (addon, link extractor), then take all those sites and start scraping for wordpress sites, then take all those and comment on them using wordpress.

My recommendation for people who want the fastest authority backlink would be the mypace band page link.

It will help you get better rankings in a very short period of time.

I tried it real quick and on my profile I get a msplink . com redirect link to my page. Does that make a difference?

I don't think you did it for a myspace band page.

You get msplink when you use the regular myspace profile.

You have to sign up as a musician.

I signed up as a musician, made up a fake band name and slected I was an unsigned artist in the rock genre. Im 100% sure I created a music profile.

Did you put it in the band website section?

That's weird because I made musician accounts (not recently) and put my links in the band website section, but this was before I knew the seo benefit of it.

I haven't yet created a myspace band page for seo purposes within the past few days, since I am exchanging links with a lot of websites, but I'm on it.

Ya check it out and see what it does for you. I put the link in the "edit profile" section where it asks for bands webpage.

Thank you for a great post. Have a question about scrapebox, so you take authority domain like blogsDOTdiscovermagazineDOTcom, scrape external links, then put them into keywords field and search for wordpress blogs? If I got that correctly then what's really the point of that and not just using random keywords in the field?

Is there a way to find all blogs under lets say blogs.dicvoermagazineDOTcom so you can then comment on those? (if they are wordpress and etc that is)
thanks

I do that because then scrapebox goes and looks for all the backlinks that the site spammer has commented on which are wordpress, so the spammers have done all the work for me.

I just find where they have spammed before.

If a spammer is commenting on one of the high authority websites, blogs, etc. I've mentioned, then the chance of them knowing what they are doing is higher, so they most likely have already also commented on other high authority websites as well.

Don't try and reinvent the wheel.
