1) your own private network - time consuming and costly (little risk still there)
2) link authority (still not hit because diverse c-class and unique posts)
3) JV a network with other bhwers.
Problem with BMR is that there requirements for a link were crazy there were just stacks of 150 word posts with links in. No quality no consistency. As with everything though all good things in link building have a life span.
I wouldn't even bother looking for an alternative they got caught out and deindexed due to quality issues. Other networks like aln have even worse quality so I doubt they will be around for very long. Content farms and blog networks aren't very safe.
I have been using Seo Destiny, none of their sites got de-indexed and they are still working brilliantly. But lately I have started building my own private high blog where I am trying to get 10-15 high PR domains each week and build websites on those.
