BM disappeared

BMs can disappear due to Meta system scans, policy violations or unusual activity, so full verification and asset allocation to multiple BMs is required to reduce risk.

Has anyone encountered this situation? is this facebook algorithm when suddenly your BM disappears and all the admins in the BM have been pushed out
Maybe this error is due to your policy or maybe it encountered some error you should check your BM again

Maybe your BM violated FB policy, you should check again and complain to FB

Yep, definitely, that happens sometimes, usually it’s a security trigger or policy flag from Facebook, not just a random glitch. In most cases, you’ll need to appeal or contact support to recover the BM.

it's Facebook’s security or fraud detection system. When a BM is flagged for policy violations, fake identities, payment issues, or suspicious activity, Meta may completely disable the BM and remove all admins as a precaution. The BM can disappear from your dashboard like it never existed.

In some cases, a Business Manager may suddenly become inaccessible or admins get removed due to internal reviews triggered by unusual activity or user reports. To reduce this risk, it’s best to keep login behavior consistent, avoid frequent access from multiple locations at the same time, manage BM permissions carefully, and maintain proper backups or alternative access where possible.

Your Business Manager might have been flagged by Facebook as: a "middleman/buyer/seller" Business Manager, a "anti-selling/anti-sharing" Business Manager.
You can handle this as follows: Add using the old Business Settings
Access: business.facebook.com/settings
Do not use the "Meta Business Suite" interface
Some Business Managers are blocked in the new interface but can still be added in the old interface.

Yes, we occasionally encounter similar situations, sometimes even deleting all the accounts we have in the Business Manager (BM). Then, we transfer the BM to the administrator who has held it the longest. We've had quite a few problems because of this, but there's no way to prevent it from happening.

Yeah, seen this. Could be hack or Meta auto-review. Check email/Account Quality, lock it down (pw + 2FA), remove unknown users, and open a support ticket fast.

Yes, I have experience this myself.

When Facebook flags abnormal access, billing changes, or policy risk, it can temporarily remove BM access and even push admins out to contain damage. First step is to secure the profiles, verify identity, and appeal from the original owner if possible.

In the meantime, many teams move campaigns to agency ad accounts they don’t personally own. These sit under stable, pre-verified BMs, letting ads continue while the affected BM is reviewed, without touching the compromised asset and minimizing downtime risks.

If that's not a Business Manager created by your via, I think it might be a backed-up BM

Yes, due to Facebook's algorithm, when a BM behaves abnormally, Facebook's algorithm will remove all existing administrators from that BM.

Yes, I’ve faced the same situation this usually happens because Facebook detects suspicious activity, policy violations, or security issues in the Business Manager

This is usually related to Facebook’s internal security or risk review system. When a Business Manager is flagged due to policy concerns, account integrity issues, payment irregularities, or unusual activity, Meta may temporarily or permanently disable it as a precaution. In such cases, admins can be removed and the BM may no longer appear in the dashboard.

This is a crazy algorithm from Facebook aimed at preventing BM hacking, but it has caused quite a lot of problems.

This usually happens when you violate a serious policy on Meta.

"And if you have a WhatsApp account linked to your Business Manager, if it gets banned, does it also lead to the banning of your WhatsApp account? Is it possible to use the same number for a regular WhatsApp account afterwards?"
No, it doesn't lead to banning you whatsapp account. You can still use the same number for a regular whatsapp account.

We have created a setup to avoid this. So far, it has been working better than the regular setup of sharing to multiple BM partners, which is a BIG RED FLAG.
