Bluehost Throttling

Hi Guys

I don't really know much about hosting but this is the second time my site is down because I am getting too much traffic for a bluehost shared account.

My bluehost account is Throttling

They are charging me $13 a month to upgrade

Any suggestions of what I should do?

I don't want to lose the traffic but I don't want to double my hosting bill

Well , Every "unlimited" hosting has a limit not only bluhost.

Thats the reason high traffic sites are migrated to scalable cloud.
 
Go to vultr.com this is cheap and you will be able to just get a $20 droplet it would likely be enough or even a $10 and then upgrade later
 
Try google cloud / aws.
Register with real info to enjoy free trail.
 
Go to Blackhatworld Hosting section and find a VPS provider.

They are an EIG company, take a backup and run

If you google the reviews of bluehost and other EIG companies you will see exactly how "bad" they are.
 
If you can't afford $13 extra a month on hosting .... Why do you even have a website? :rolleyes:

I think it depends on OP's Traffics. For OP, I would say, If you have traffics and you are profiting from it, respect the way and don't mind spending few bucks for your improvement. :)
 
It doesn't take much to get a shared account locked for a while. That's why you only use them for low traffic, non-important sites.
 
shared hosting is for startup only , when traffic spikes u have to switch to vps or dedi. every shared hosting will give u trouble if u have high traffic.

whats ur budjet and requrements ( cpu / ram / disk / network / bandwidth usage ).
 
What is 'high' traffic for shared hosting?

1,000 unique a day ?

10,000 unique?

100,000 unique?
