Blue Host sucks BAD.....anyone know of any GREAT Hosting w/ 24/7 customer service?
Yep, it does. I made the mistake of becoming their customer in July. Most of the time I can't even login in the admin of my site. Also looking for a good eu host...

Personally I'd never go with a host with a site design as bad as that and who can't even spell their own company name right in the footer.
Anyway, you should use Hostgator. I also use them
Why does it suck bad? Been perfect for me so far, only needed customer service help once and the help was excellent.
Agreed 100% - best host I have used.
I use justhost.. but I don't have to have IP/BH set up, etc... works for my WH domains.
Bluehost has fast live help service for simple questions. Their server security is poor and they have allot of downtime in the early morning US time.

have some websites hosted there no problems.
also hostgator is just fine
Bluehost is the worst I had them for 6 months. My sites were down daily. They do love to do down times in the morning and sometimes they are like 4 hours long...
Do yourself favor move to a real hosting company like hostgator
FreeHostia.com is worth a look at.
Almost never down, and theres some pretty good, free hosting for the first year.
Why does bluehost suck? Here is my experience in short:
+ shared servers run on their hardware limit, thus the server is often slow
+ unlimited webspace is not really unlimited: you are allowed to create max 500.000 files, and if you use "too much" space they give them the permission to suspend your account.
+ the service is unfriendly and in the mindset "if you don't like us go f#+* yourself".
Has anybody here tried X10Hosting... I have a very very good experience with them...
How hard is it to change hosts? I have bluehost and really want to change but I have a lot of sites.
Very true, Ive used the chat a couple times and twice the person answered the question then closed the chat lol. I wasnt finished and he didnt even say bye or thanks.
I inherited a bluehost account (I mean literally inherited - the guy died and wanted me to keep his sites going).
The previous owner had mistakenly once (or more than once) sent out an email containing a link to an article (intentionally) but with a whole bunch of email addresses in the 'to' box instead of bcc or as separate emails. Then a year later after I'd taken over the sites, a kenyan correspondent who didn't use the internet much did a 'reply to all' including a genuine question in the email, and without deleting the original content. This was then picked up by spamcop as being a likely spam email and Bluehost responded to that. Not only was the site containing the article referred to in the original link (and 'reply'd email) shut down, but bluehost shut down the whole account so every site went offline.
I would say they were quite reasonable when I managed to track down the root cause of the problem and explain it to them though, and it took about 24 hours to my account re-enabled. However, having all the sites shut down at once was a nuisance.
I also had several sites hosted by Rochen Hosting on my own reseller account. Not long after the bluehost shutdown experience I had an infection on a Joomla site, probably because of a rogue extension, where someone was using my site to phish for bank of america account details, a much more serious problem. They only shut down the specific site with the problem, not any of the others. Rochen also have a twice daily backup system called The Vault if you have a reseller account, and you can control that yourself to restore backups of sites. I've used that when I really needed it. It has been invaluable.
Not long after that I noticed that my sitestalker messages for the bluehost hosted accounts were getting more and more frequent - several times per day sometimes - so i've now moved all my sites to Rochen and they've virtually disappeared. I recommend Rochen highly, but they are significantly more expensive than bluehost. You pays your money...
I had hostmonster (bluehostt) for all my domains before... they told me I had to delete my files since they exceeded 100k or something and their unlmited policy was actually a huge load of BS. I was saving all my files backing up and what not; BAM they deactivate my account and I lose piles of money from my affiliate sites.
