Late last night I noticed one of my clients sites had a banner from Isis on it. I cleaned this up and resolved the site.

Went into the file directory and found a file called M-Iraq. I go to delete the file it is filled with 60k files inside of files all named different websites.. Just endless amount of files. Essentially will not delete.

I try to go to blue host, there site and support services are down. I call the 800 support select technical support option it is just a recording that says they are inve4stagating an issue on their server which is causing issues for their customers.

No other support is being offered.

I wonder if this ISIS hack on my clients site is related.

If it was hacked by someone from arab countries, doesn't mean it was ISIS.

Yes, the servers were down today as well for about 30mins. Too bad since I just started a new website on their host :/

The banner was support the Islamic Caliphate, so I am assuming that would be isis.

Their hosting has been really good for me for two years now. First major incident I have seen

Why does ISIS want to hack websites?
They got fucked over on Twitter so their new brilliant plan is to hack sites and put up their banner. Wow.

Damn that's intense... This may be their retaliation towards the comments and actions done by anonymous towards them.

ISIS doesn't give a fuck about Bluehost.

u just got hacked by a wannabe !s!s thats all those bastards have better shit to do

ISIS doesn't give a fuck about Bluehost.

Who knows their intentions or whosever's intentions. Why would Isis hack my clients site? Its just a business service site from AU?

I think people see and do things that may not make sense to others.

Maybe they found a new zero day or something

Please don't give them the dignity of calling them isis. They are Daesh.

IMO, it's some script kiddies hiding behind their keyboards and trying to create a hoax.

Why would ISIS want to hack bluehost? It isn't reasonable

Ive searched online about this file name M-Iraq but can't find anything about it. It won't delete. Anyone that can offer assistance the help would be appreciated.

From this thread: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blackhat-lounge/804557-isis-website-hacked.html
I read in thread earlier that Bluehost was hacked and had ISIS Support Banners all over the websites. Just an hour ago Daily-mail shared that ISIS propaganda site is hacked and to make things even better (or funnier) it is displaying Viagra Adverts! So I guess we might see an ISIS War with Hackers on the web! :D

Yep thats what I think too check this article out: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3333470/ISIS-taunt-America-new-video-urging-bring-vow-bring-fire-enemies-80-banners-raised-against-mock-soldier-suicides.html

Our work site also got hacked at work. I think they called themselves Falagan if I remember correctly. Something about Somalia...

If it was hacked by someone from arab countries, doesn't mean it was ISIS.

More like a socially inept bored kid in his bedroom who saw Isis and liked the violence like it's a new videogame. The real terrorists can't even talk right, much less hack computers.

i doubt very much if it is ISIS, why would they use resources to attack bluehost, they'd be after bigger fish like water, electricity, air traffic control, oil supplies. Like others have said i would say it's just bored hackers using ISIS. ISIS don't tend to advertise with banners

WHY not its just a friend who want to play with -the owner of the website-...
