Is it possible to give someone access to my blogspot blogs so they can
work on it, without giving them access to my GMAIL account and other accounts.

I don't think so, surely will need your gmail account at least
 
Blogger is part of accounts.google.com, which means once you logged into that Google account, in your case Gmail, you will have access to all Google apps.

Google have for a long time used the Oauth authentication platform for RPC and API access. Blogger is one of the platforms included in the authorization.

Adding a post
You can add a post for a blog by sending a POST request to the post collection URI with a post JSON body:

I have no idea why people comment just for the sake of commenting! Makes me sick!
Anyway, You sign into your google account. Follow these steps -
1) Go to blogger (To the blog which you want to give access to other person)
2) Go to settings >> Basics
3) Scroll to 'Permissions'
4) Add the gmail ID of the person you want to give access to your blogs. In this case invite this person as 'Moderator/Author' that will allow him/her to edit and add posts to your blog.
5) This invitation expires in 24 hours so ask that person to accept it.

Note: If that person asks you to make him/her 'Admin' Don't do it, since they can delete/remove you as admin!

Yes it is possible. Go to settings in your Blogger dashboard and under Permissions you can invite anyone with having a gmail account to work with you.

I think there was a thingy called invite author. It means you can add people to write blog post on your blog but that's the only thing they can do.
