hey guys
why so many people use blogspot blogs like xxxxxx.blogspot.com?
do people trust blogspot more than usual domain?
i mean what's the reason of using it? ur own domain is shorter, u own it and it can't be deleted etc (a blogspot page can be)

can u explain?

Because it is free and basic to use. There is no need to set anything up.
 
I used blogspot before I bought my own domains because:

1. It's free, no need for domain + hosting. You can use this to start.
2. Gets indexed fast and goes to top pages relatively quick because of blogspot authority.
3. No uploading and installing required, 1-click and you are ready to blog.
 
It's simple. With a blog hosted at blogspot you can make money online for free. Without having to pay for anything at all.

Otherwise you're gonna have to pay for a domain. And hosting.

Besides, blogspot blogs are great for researching niches.

Let me tell you what I do...

I create a blogspot blog > if it takes off, I buy an actual domain and place a 301 to it :)

Totally correct..

As a matter of fact, buyers don't do much transaction on such blog because it degrade the product simply because it made look like the owner can't afford a good website. The few blogspot that are working managed to go that far because the owner are one step ahead, good bloggers, know their own and are highly professional in their niche.
 
yeah i understand what u mean guys

but i say that if u use ur own domain and not blogspot and send decent traffic, the "trust" to ur domain will bring u much more money that domain cost itself
and btw u can buy 1 domain for a huge niche. for example 1 domai for movie niche and post like 100 films there))

i'm using blogspot. Because there is easier and it is linked to Adsense and Google.
 
Depends of your needs. For example, I use free blogs when I don't want to be tracked down.

And, in movie niche, depending what you're doing, there is a chance to receive some complaints.
 
Basically people uses Blogspot blogs for two simple reason:

1) Either they're broke and can't affort to pay for nothing else (hosting + url)
2) Or they use the Blogpost authority factor to their favor: To test keywords FAST

You can create a blogpost blog and make it rank faster for a keyword than if you create a brand new domain targeting.

Plus, Google OWNS Blogspot, so that's why they love it and rank it highly (just like with Youtube)
 
Keep in mind that if Google decides your blog is basically a spam site, they can take it down and all of your work is gone.
But if you go the quality route, you shouldn't have any problems. Use them to feed into your main site - that you own - it would give your site a boost

And keep a copy of any materials you use for the blogspot domain in case it does get taken down
