Blogspot Blogger

I'd also like to know about this. Hope to hear from the experts here.

Man, I haven't seen a Blogspot subdomain pop up in SERPs in a long time...

Personally, I use Blogger/Blogspot for backlinks (very minimally).
I'm thinking many of them on Blogger/Blogspot are on custom domain so we can't readily tell from the SERPs.

This!

Some larger political aggregation sites regularly feature blogspot blogs

I don't see this lasting much longer though.

And it's not because these blogs aren't ranking on Google.

The reason why there are less and less blogspot blogs on news sites (at least - I don't know about other blogspot blogs covering other niches) is because many of these blogs are switching over to SUBSTACK

Substack is actually a powerful platform - you get Medium.com like publishing features and visibility PLUS you get a mailing list

they can rank. some low volumed keywords are showing them on serfs

Yes, However, it faces competition from newer platforms

The Hoth free tool tells me I'm in the Top 10 on Google for 16 terms with a total search volume of 1,100 although I know more.

Just taking a look I see 3 terms with over 2K traffic I could work on, but I don't SEO the site, I do no keyword research, I simply write.

I did put up some AI articles and it's a bit of fun for me rather than something serious.

It is still a .blogspot extension.
