Hey all, got my first blogspot autoblog completed with a new method I'm working on. Any comments/criticisms on what's there at the moment?

Code:
http://swinefluinfoblog.blogspot.com/

*blog.blogspot subdomain is a bit redundant, and swinefluinfo is still free.
didn't see the rest, I'm tired today.

I like it, a nice clean look, monetized with Adsense and Amazon. Is it really Auto, it doesn't look like my shitty efforts. lol

What tools are you using?

On my experience, you should choose to add adsens at the end of the post. Also, change the background to make it identical as the site's background (the font color too).

Good blog. How are you getting all that good content and videos? I have autoblogs on blogspot, but with mailing lists (so, it is unique, no duplicate content).

I see some non ascii characters like http://swinefluinfoblog.blogspot.com/2009/10/swine-flu.html
thats not good

But still nice blog

OK what is your method ?

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

Tools: Artisteer for the template, WPRobot for a WP autoblog (new method comes in here), Google news comprehensive feed to email and a couple of python scripts for initial setup (and here). Have added a leaderboard ad as suggested.

When I set this up swinefluinfo wasn't available...maybe I should snatch it now while I can. :-)

The ascii characters were from a poster who thought it would be better to use characters like that instead of swearing. :-/

Very good job. Really. I don't really auto-blog on blogger, but you made me consider the option again.

PS: change the background color of the ads!!

Got the colors sorted now. Hopefully it blends in a bit better now. Thanks Sume2.

Sure. You need to run a parallel Wordpress autoblog that feeds into your blogspot blogs.

nice blog....but i suggest u remove the navbar on top

Hope someone finds a use for this method:

1. Create a self-hosted WP blog (not wordpress*com).
2. Get WPRobot installed.
3. Create as many categories as you want, targeting different niches (eg. Money, Credit, Debt, etc) and use WPRobot to get the content.
4. Get subscribe2 plugin from WP.
5. For each category you set up, create a new blogger blog.
6. Each blogger blog must have an email to blog address (usually [email protected]) - this is important!
7. Log into your master WP blog and in the subscribe2 subscribers settings page, you set up the blog email address and subscribe it to the category you selected for that niche.
8. Set subscribe2 settings so it updates once a day or however often you want.
9. Now you have a master WP blog that automatically updates your blogger 'slave' blogs, each with its custom niche.

Let me know how it works for you.

Incidentally, blogs hosted on blogspot.com cannot BlogSend to a blogspot.com address--i.e., [email protected]. But it's easy to BlogSend to a different Web 2.0 address like Vox.com. So, you cannot implement autoblogging between two blogs in the blogspot.com domain. Weird, right?

Under writing options you can set up secret e-mail for posting...

From where are you getting the content because WPRobot can take post from only a couple of places

i tried this autoblog in blogspot but google marked my blog as spam blog, any other here has the same experience?

I don't do much autoblogging and don't know your method but the blog itself looks good imo. And your detailed post is good enough to get even the newest of newbies up and running.

What's the point of setting up an autoblogpost for blogspot when a link of your post goes to another site? I tell you, you won't earn a dime for this. You're just dishing out traffic to other people's sites.

This one's a proof of concept. For a real blog farm, I'd concentrate on Amazon, clickbank (not really a great earner, but it does get a few bucks on other blogs) and adsense, without the Yahoo answers which is what I think you're referring to, but with some YT thrown in for good measure. That way, if they do click on links, it takes them to affiliate programs, etc.

The point of the exercise was to get an autoblog on blogspot, as a few people here were having trouble getting posts through to it using conventional rss feeds. This offers another alternative, where you manage one blog to update a multitude instead of having to manage a multitude.

It's all about trying new things, because if you don't try new things, just stick with the same stuff everyone else is doing, you'll never learn anything.

And FYI, it's already earned some $ from adsense. Not much, $6 or so, but that's 2 days and a couple of tweets using tweetlater.

Congratulations, you have a very good looking blog.
