in his book, its the top paragraph on page 179, he doesnt give a lot of detail. He recommends

two hosting providers. one as primary and one as backup. put your site pages on each host and sign up with

which can redirect traffic (DNS) to the backup in five minutes instead of the usual 24-48 hours.

I wonder if you could give me more info on the duplicated host. I'm really interested as I see the headache my friend is facing. Most of the backups are corrupted or incomplete.

By the way, I wonder if we just take the database itself, is there danger of trojans or scripts in the database file itself?

make sure you do not sign up to other blog sites with the same password as your current one as the new site you are registering with could be a bogus one.

the book doesnt mention it any further,and i have not done it yet until i get a site worth doing, but i believe all that means is you get two different accounts that are not on the same server, or say two different hosts. like a lunerpages and a hostgator, and a second domain for the duplicate site, i would imagine it could be a .info, because if the main site goes down,you could just 301 redirect it to the duplicate, right? write a no-follow script so the bots wont record it until you need to put the duplicate online, i guess. or keep the duplicate domain parked and just upload the backed up site when you need it.frankly, people with real knowledge and experience need to answer your question. i hope other people enter the discussion on this. sorry i cant answer the question on the database.
