With so many blogging platforms available, it can be hard to decide which one to use.

I want to start one for my gaming website.

I was thinking bout Tumblr & pinterest ?

I'd recommend building your own blog by learning Wordpress. Much more customisable than pinterest!

I agree with what other people have said here. Starting off with Wordpress is the best option. There are many plugins, it's very easy to move to your own hosting, and also, using Wordpress tends to give people a good understanding how to customize their site.

The only sensible option is a self hosted wordpress site with your own domain name.

Don't use free platforms as you have no control over them and most do not allow you to monetize your blog.

You are at their mercy and if you break their rules or do something they don't like your site will be deleted.

Wordpress is also extremely flexible and powerful too. Very easy to use and make great sites.
