You will have to use tools like scrapebox and expired domain hunter to find these expired web 2.0's
 
There is no harm in starting with a blogger blog. i have done it in past and fared quite well. Focus on sharing quality content. You may not get benefits of seo from a blogger blog but still you can share it in social media sites and drive traffic. maybe later try to get on your own domain.
 
You should start with blogger and once you start getting traffic and revenue, you can move to WordPress.
 
it's okay to start with blogspot, but make a plan to migrate to wordpress after you get some money. it's easy now to migrate from Blogspot into Wordpress.
 
It will be hard to get approval for affiliate programs with a blogspot blog. Better focus on WordPress for creating new blog.
 
Better in the long run to to get hosting and install Wordpress. At least you can maintain control. With blogspot/blogger, if Google don't like your content they can take your whole site down and you have no comeback.

Blogpost is a good platform related to Google.. but you are going to build a real business and attract real traffic. I highly recommend to buy a domain name and cheap web hosting the. Start writing good content and tweak it for seo.

You need a domain name. Its trustworthy. You need people to come to your website and engage with you. After you start a blog focus on building an email list and collect hot leads.

Blogspot is the way to go when your aim is not to make money and only to share what you think with others. It is a simple platform with not much technicalities involved which also makes it a platform with a lot of limitations. Now if you are blogging for money, it is not a good choice as you can't add new features as you move on. But like you said you are doing this because of financial instability you can always switch to wordpress after a while which will be a better choice for this than blogspot.
 
Please is it possible to paginate a post in blogspot to increase ad impressions?
