Hi,

I want to start blogging with specific niche, currently don't have budget for everything but I have skills in writing, searching keywords, etc.

Which free platform should i use? I don't have .com domain or hosting

Blogspot or Wordpress

Unless you have found a treasure trove of ultra low comp keywords, there's no chance of ranking your free WordPress or blogger site.

You have to spend atleast $5.

Get a .com domain (look up their prices on tldes.com and go for the registrar offering the lowest price). In general Cosmotown offers fresh domain registration for $2 for the first year.

Next, get a cheap hosting from HostKoala. Their directadmin plans start from $5/year which you can reduce to $3/year with their coupon (I brought a ton of these for my test projects and they're serving me well).

You have to spend the bare minimum if you want to make money.

Wordpress for sure.

If you do not have budget initially then stat with a free Wordpress subdomain (example, yoursite.wordpress.com) domain.
It is good that you know content writing and keyword research. These basic skills are enough to get you started.

Wordpress free themes any good?

To use any paid themes it always prompts for a business account which is expensive AF - I’ve been turned off making a website especially one with wordpress coz of the high upfront costs they push

Wordpress free themes any good?
Of course yes. Free themes from trusted developers like Generatepress, Astra, OceanWP (and other many more) are always good to go. They cost you zero.

They will always give you option to upgrade but that is not mandatory for you. If you want to use their free theme forever, you are free to do so.

Does the 5$/year enough for just pure articles only?

Hey! Do you have the coupon? May be worth it to buy a few.

Maybe start with a VPS server, heztner is a good option to start!

Never heard of cosmotown before

I use namesilo

But cosmotown is really cheap

I saw their trust pilot review, a lot of bad one

Is it reliable?

I think $5 is about the lowest you can go to get started.

Look for domain name ideally a .com

Then use something like https://www.infinityfree.com for hosting

Head over to myfremethemeshop and download either socially viral or schema theme.

These are decent start themes with some good options for free and perfect for writing articles.

You will want to keep your site light as possible so:

Disable google fonts and host locally.

Use something like slimseo instead of yoast.

Sqoosh your images and use modern formats.

Yes, You can start free blogging by using blogger platform but we would not recommend you that use the blogger platform. Because there are many reason, you should not use blogger example :
not professional domain
not professional hosting
not website customization
not professional theme
not plugins features like wordpress
