Hey guys!

I recently started a blog in the health niche in German and I thought I open up a thread to address the noob questions that come up every now and then.

1) Is it worth it getting the Shortpixel update to for picture optimization?

2) I am new to Wordpress and noticed that pictures are not automatically optimized on mobile like they are on clickfunnels? Which plugin do I need for that?
Also I noticed that I cannot change the size of the headers, in general I cannot do any formatting on mobile.

What theme are you using? It seems your theme is not responsive.

  1. Yup, ShortPixel is a good option especially after the last update. It includes a number of new features that can help you improve the performance of your website.
  2. ShortPixel, WP Smush, and EWWW Image Optimizer. Which plugin you choose will depend on your specific needs and preferences. For example, if you are looking for a plugin that can automatically resize and optimize images for mobile devices, ShortPixel is a good option. But if you are looking for a plugin that can compress images without losing quality, WP Smush is the one. And if you are looking for a plugin that can optimize images for both desktop and mobile devices, EWWW Image Optimizer is perfect.

Smush does a much better job!

Use a good theme with a page builder and you will be able to edit them plus images will be optimized for mobile.

I would suggest investing in some paid themes

Just use smush it - as it's free ;)

You might want to consider automatic image resizing plug-ins to help you with pictures.

There are also plug-ins that can help you with a better keyword-driven alt tags for your photos.

It's also a good idea to use photos strategically.

What I mean by this is when you're talking about a certain topic in a section of your blog post, you might want to consider putting the sub-heading text into your alt tag for a relevant picture for that section.

This actually brings me quite a bit of traffic.

That's the nice little SEO secret I can share with you since you are asking about picture optimization.

But the key here is that it has to be thematically related.

In fact, I would go the extra mile and focus on whether the tag in the picture actually helps the reader solve a problem.

So if the answer is yes, then you're more likely to get a slight ranking advantage if you do things this way.

Thank you, will implement that right away!

Thanks to everyone, I am working on the theme and things are getting better.

Is it better to have a caption (text directly on the picture) or a text directly under the picture?

Get yourself a premium theme and install Elementor. The latter will help you out immensely, it's one of the best drag and drop builders.
It can be hard for beginners but when one gets used to it, it is very useful. Lot of functions there for fine tuning.

one line of custom css will make your images fit on mobile.
img {max-width: 100%}

If I write blog posts what do I have to be paying attention to while placing links?

How many times can I direct the reader to some other blog post of mine that is a product review of the products that I am promoting?
How many times can I link directly to the sales page of the offer owner?

I have a question regarding pictures. How careful do I have to be if I take images from google that are not bought by myself from a stock page?
