17 posts are not enough.
It is still too early to start wondering if your blogging project is a success.
Set your milestone further...
Depending on what kind of content publication strategy you are pursuing, you might need much more content.
I'm talking about 150–250.
You also have to pay close attention to what your competitors' content looks like.
Do they use long-form content?
Also, your "grand strategy" should be to produce the very best content in your niche.
How would you know?
Well, you have to ask yourself:
"Is my content comprehensive?
Do I use hard-to-find information compared to my competitors?
Does my content truly answer the intent behind the keywords that I'm targeting?"
The closer you get to asking these questions and answering in the form of the quality of your content, the better your results will be.
But it's a long-term game.
17 posts are not enough, and it took you three months.
If you want to really step things up, you might want to consider dictating your blog posts.
I'm talking about dictablogging.
Read your research materials for each post and then write a short outline, and just dictate away.
I use this technique to produce 25,000 words or more per day, and I'm not a super genius.
If I can do it, you can do it too.
It just takes practice and the willingness to be patient with yourself as you maximize speaking methods and thinking patterns that will help you get to your target speed.
