Blogging Keywords

I'd diversify the backlinks in 50% - 50% ratio. 50% of all backlinks you build should link to your homepage, and the other 50% should link to your inner pages (articles).

While building backlinks to your homepage, try to choose:

1) branded anchor texts like "Yourwebsite.com", "Yourwebsite", "Your Website", etc.
2) related anchor texts like if your website is about home painting, you could choose anchors like "painting", "home painting", "house painting", etc.
3) naked anchor texts like "https://mywebsite.com"
4) generic anchor texts like "learn more", "here", "in this page", etc.

And while building backlinks to your inner pages (articles), try to choose the article's focus keyword as the anchor text. But don't overdo it, if you're building more than 3 backlinks to a single article page, then make sure to make at least one of these 3 backlinks' anchor text an LSI keyword or other secondary keyword.

For example if your article title is "Do bananas have fiber?", pick two anchors as "are bananas a good source of fiber" and "do bananas have fiber", and the third one as "is 1 banana a day enough fiber". So not all backlinks should have the focus keyword as anchor text.

Just my thoughts.
I also am going to implement a similar strategy for backlinks on my new website and I think it works great!
