I decided that i want to start a blog displaying some of my How To guides and experiences i had online dealing with marketing and also just share my opinions on certain aspects. I'll probably keep it local but ofcourse anyone is welcome to read my posts.

I just want to know if i should add some kind of section in the blog where there is some humor such as funny images/videos. Because i'm sure not everyone is business minded or into tech will love to always come to the blog, atleast there's a section for the "teens" or people who want a good laugh and thus share on social networks

Good idea?

I do believe that i need to add original funny content which i might have to do some digging on.

The images and videos you include in your blog must complement your content. If you will use an informal tone for your content, one that works well with funny images and videos, then I guess it's alright. But if the tone is more formal and business-like, you shouldn't add such material.

Don't just add funny images and videos to attract certain people. Before you start your blog, find out your target market. Ask yourself "Who is my target audience?" and focus on them.

If the content your provide is relevant and valuable, it will be shared on social media.

How to guides are working and did you read the wikihow articles that had unique images or made from ART Galleries to show the readers.
A lot of How to guide sites are coming with their own drawings to make understand people.

I agree but i want to add some section for humor as it can attract people and allow them to share those post. But do you think images and videos or just funny posts like satire?

guides and experiences are may not niche with humor. So your primary topic is guides and experience. When visitor come on your site they will come for guides and experience information not for fun. You may think (i am not sure is it good or not) to keep your humor content on hidden category.

It's tempting to be a 'jack of all trades' or catch all site with the theory that you can attract more visitors. However, your site will not attract anyone if you spread your content theme too thin. Just stick to content that matches your main theme of 'marketing tutorials'. Any humor related videos should be based on similar theme. And, surely there are humorous videos and memes that can illustrate marketing snafus or marketing how-to (nots) out there. If not, you can create and add them to your own blog.

Based on my experience, thinking to serve your visitors with the full of your heart is most important; and whatever you do to benefit them will bring you success. Give your visitors a good treat with interactive contents and quality images, and they are sure to be with you.

About humor, they always work for everyone. But make sure your contents are rich and full of quality. Everyone wants quality things.

Stay on one thing, not Humor as it is totally different compared to the niche. How to guides really work if you did in correct method.

Images work great with how to guides even though the content is less but wiki how has large content with more images.

I suggest you to use only relevant images and videos. You should also create a new category for funny images and videos. It could work as a refreshment tonic for your users.

You are better off staying on topic. The humor section may put off the business minded people you are really trying to attract. (And are likely to make more money from).

Adding the humor stuff may indeed attract more people, but it's not like they will stick around and read/share the how to guides. (Your bread and butter) People looking around for funny videos are just going to want to see funny videos.

OP should also be wary of burn-out. There's a significant chance that this additional section will (unnecessarily) require additional work with a diminishing amount of time.

Stick to a niche... But if you can create 2 blogs.. One for "how-to" and the other for "humor" then its okay... But make sure the blogs have their domains.. They should not be on the same site.

I think you can do both- it just depends on your voice. If you're writing is laced with humor and satire, you could make an instagram acc or a section with vines- but I would keep your content based on marketing and business, with a twist of humor.

Stick with one at first, build it up, and then you can expand.

If you want to establish yourself as an expert in marketing field, you need to decide if those "funny" section is proper in your case. May seem like not very professional. But all depends on your purpose which you need to define for yourself.

I would honestly start off by using a service or contractor to help with the first few posts. Learn from them and then continue to run in that mode.
