Hello. I own a blog about a specific Android device where I share compatible games and apps to help the users of the phone. I only share lite versions of games and apps, basically freeware. Yet there are atleast 5 more blogs out there that freely share download links to paid games such as Need for Speed, NOVA, Gangstar Westcoast, GTA 3, etc. And most of them have a disclaimer page stating stuff similar to this:
"###blog is not responsible for any outgoing links as we do not host anything on our server, all the download links are collected from online open sources and forums. For your copyrighted material we suggest you contact with the linked file services such as mediafire, rapidshare, etc"
So as far as I know Blogger will immediatelly delete the blog if notified but is that all they do? Can the owners get into any legal trouble with someone or the only consequences are blog deletion? Hell, there are probably thousands of blogs like that one, not only for android apps but everything, yesterday while viewing one I clicked on the little bar button "next blog" and 1 after another I went through so many blogspot warez blogs and it seems like no one really cares.
I want to know because they sure are stealing my blog's visitors so I was just wondering what the consequences are. I'm kinda afraid to do this to be honest, not only because I fear I will get into legal troubles but I just find it wrong to share someone's paid work for free.
