Hi guys.

I am wondering if I am using Blogger should I stick with the subdomain, or go ahead and get my own domain through the Blogger dashboard?

Does the default Blogger subdomain setup make it easier to rank up in Google? Or does it even make a difference?

Get a domain, .com preferred if you want to start ranking your site.

Since it is a subdomain, and you are just starting out, I would do as SupremeDev suggests and get your own domain right out of the gate. However, if you are strapped for cash and want to use another domain to test out how difficult or not it is to rank a keyword(s), then just use blogger. If you are in this for the long haul, then you might want to consider the former. Hope that helps! Shawn

I didn't bother buying a domain and I managed to rank #1 on two keywords, I don't think it really matters.

It doesn't matter too much, but having a domain is ALWAYS more appealing! It only costs around ten bucks for a year, so it isn't much of an investment at all. I say go for it.
