Hi,

I'm about to start doing some testing and was thinking about using blogger for my sites. But since Blogger is a free blog, I was thinking about the risks, mainly competitors somehow getting it deleted. With this test, I'm sure some of the shit I throw at the wall will stick. I don't want to rank a couple of these sites just to have some guy on page 4 get my blog deleted. Are blogspot blogs easily deleted?

Content will be 100% normal, nothing crazy or w/e but with YouTube videos, 3-4 reports and your video is gone. Is Blogger the same? What Web 2.0 would you recommend if Blogger isn't a good option?

If this is relevant, I will not be spamming the blogs with junk links. All manual 10-20 links a site.

If it is a genuine blog then you don't have to worry - after all it is a blogging platform for real people with real blogs. On the other hand, do you really want to put so much effort into a blog you don't own?

If it's a legit informational blog with decent information you have nothing to worry about. I have a blogspot blog (same thing I believe) and it is still riding in top 10 for search terms despite the fact that I haven't updated it since 2010. Google seems to like their own products (surprise...) - if you're doing a legit blog for sure go for it.

Agree on what is said above, I started a blog on Blogger from a scratch and later on it started Ranking Pretty Well in Google and generating good traffic. I use Custom Domain with Blogger, Have no Problem.

I used Blogger for 'blackhat' niches and they didn't really last that long.

Don't put on adult content because eventually it will get deleted.

As long as you don't put ads everywhere then it shouldn't get deleted.

I have tumblr sites that rank for low competition keywords so I would create on both blogger and tumblr.

With serious long-term sites, Wordpress is a better platform. But Blogger is second best as long as you're legit & use a custom domain.

BH will not work with blogger not for long... If you making quality then it will work better then other web 2.0 may be better then new domains... Google always favors it's product, although they will never admit it but it's truth...

i am about to blast a bloggger with scrapebox , was wondering the same .. the blog has unique content 2 500+ words post with pictures . any advice would be appreciated

go with wordpress, instead of blogger.

Wordpress dont delete blogs, unless its hack related or infringes on copyrights big time

Blogger and YouTube, despite being owned by the same company, are two different platforms and have different rules. Whilst it's relatively easy to get a video deleted on YouTube, it would be difficult to replicate the same nuisance on Blogger. Blogger is one of the best web 2.0 blogging platforms and they don't delete blogs often.

Stay away from WordPress.com if you are planning to make some money from your blog through affiliate links. They don't allow affiliate links and would delete your blog without notice once they find affiliate links on it, especially if your blog is new.

You can have adult content on Blogger, you just have to check a little box that says you have adult content (it will label your blog as 18+ and give a warning to visitors before they enter your website).

From Blogger's TOS
Adult Content: We do allow adult content on Blogger, including images or videos that contain nudity or sexual activity. But, please mark your blog as 'adult' in your Blogger settings. Otherwise, we may put it behind a 'mature content' interstitial.

There are some exceptions to our adult content policy:

-Do not use Blogger as a way to make money on adult content. For example, don't create blogs that contain ads or links to commercial porn sites.
-We do not allow non-consensual or illegal sexual content, including image, video or textual content that depicts or encourages rape, incest, bestiality, or necrophilia.

What planet are you from? Wordpress never did anything to my affiliate sites? I'm talking about a good year+ of no problems.

I never faced removal at blogger. As you are saying content will be natural I see no reason to be worry.

By the way, I respect those people who test as they are not that much in SEO field.

I never had any blogs removed, I did get some reports and one was them was "removed" for 2 days, but I made an appeal and they approved it. Still, I do not like the fact that I do not have control of my hosting.
