Blogger vs Wordpress?

Personally I prefer to use blogger mainly because I'm very used to it but from what I can gather it's easier to customize wordpress - so I would recommend wordpress to new bloggers.

Blogger is good for adsense and ranking in serp's. My suggestion is to use own domain and wordpress because keeping hopes on third parties is waste of time.
 
I've only used wordpress and it works very well for me - enough to make me stay with that choice ;)
 
Wordpress is easier to use and more plugins for customizing your site. Blogger seems to rank very well right from the beginning. Its easy to use too.

The things you can do on your blogspot blogs are restricted, and it is extremely unlikely you can stretch out them to address an issue. WordPress is open source programming, so you can without much of a stretch out it to include new components.

Yes, the above is right, WP is open-source. You can potentially customize almost everything you can think of and even learn how to do it yourself without relying on pre-made themes tooo. That's the beauty of it.

It also comes with a few disadvantages if you look at it. Biggest of those are the zero day vulnerabilities. When you have the code open, the right people will also have the loopholes. That is the biggest problem with an open source software. Having said that, wp has become nearly uncrackable thanks to the community we have.
 
If you're just going to be a generic web administrator then Blogger is fine, but if you want to be extensive in any sense of the word then Wordpress offers the best flexibility.

honestly saying, Blogger is much better then wordpress coz, It not only rank's easily but also give's more option's as compared to wordpress.

I'm surprised you ask this question.
When you use Blogger you will be forever bound to Google.
They can wipe you out in an instant and everything you had will be lost (if you didn't have backups).
Stay away and go with Wordpress, seriously.
 
Wordpress all the way. It worked for me better and not going to change to Blogger anytime soon.

If we use free host then Blogger is much better.
It allows you customize the source code, put some advertisements... etc
 
Problem with WordPress (free version) is: You can't put any ads like adsense/amazon/ebay - they don't allow it.
Blogger: You can put any ad you wish.
So if u r thinking about the $$, blogger is better.
 
Both are equally good. As far as visitors are concerned, it depends on the promotion of the URLs either for Wordpress or Blogger.
 
I'll go for Blogger, though it has limited support, its more secure and more options for ads and extensions. But Wordpress is good too, portable and open source it does not depend on an individual.
