I am using Blogger on my niche site since november.. And now I see my keywords ranks well.. My site is now getting almost 2k a day and 10k PV.. My problem is my CTR is so low, about 0.38% a day.. I want to icrease it, Im thinking to go on wordpress self hosting, at the end of the month I will reach $100 at adsense, hopefully I can payout at the end of April.

Im thinking on moving to Wordpress, but my questions is:

Is it more better about my rankings? Im afraid to lose my ranking..
Is there a better template to incrase my CTR, my site is about local quotes..
Is there any disadvantages when I move to self hosting?

Please share some of your inputs regarding this matter. Sorry for my bad english, hope you understand its not my native language. Thanks in advance.

First try to change the positioning of ads and check whether your CTR improves. Migration from blogger to wordpress is easy but your ranking will be affected from time being(It is based on my personal observation)

Just select a good hosting company. If your website keeps getting down frequently then you may lose some $$

BTW you won't regret moving from blogger to self hosted wordpress.

Finally there is someone who replied on my thread since I joine BHW. Thanks sir..

please make sure u read all the instructions (just google ... i lost so many readers cuz of this...

wordpress is alot better than blogger and you should only see posotive results :)

Definitely, If you migrate from blogger to WordPress then your rank will be affected ..

Blogger have now good seo Features like custom robots.txt etc
Try to experiment with ad placement. If you want more freedom, Move to wordpress

Ya i also think you should stick with blogger too ...

You can stick with blogger if you cant afford a good host, sometimes shared hosting cant serve 10K PV/ Day. you may have to use a VPS for it.

I would leave it with blogger and change your ad placement, I have a two bloggers and mi CTR is 3.5 to 5% some days more, Search for placing ads bellow the title of the article you will have to edit the template manually but is veary simple, plus if the blogger is ranking well they stick veary well in serps, once they are up there they dont go down easily, i guess it is because there googles property?

but if you are going to build a new site go for wordpress plus hosting is not so exspensive, hostwinds unlimited bandwith and hosting space for 55 dollars a year, I guess you will make at least that with 2k daily traffic just increase your CTR dew some tests and experiments and your CTR will go up!.

Wordpress will be alot better, but you may lose some ranking in the process of changing.

You should stick with blogger, since it is lot better these days and like other BHW members advised you should try on different ad placement. here is one thread regarding the ad placement below the 1st paragraph.
