Blogger is more user friendly if you don't know what you're doing, and they let you put your own domain on after you have it really easy too. Wordpress is probably the best, but if you're like me and don't know much about it, then I would suggest blogger

If you need a hundred people to nudge you in the direction of making 1 blog, you'll never succeed.

You should be thinking about making 10 blogger and 10 wordpress and finding a http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/341339-free-current-web2-0-blog-list-60-websites-14.html so you can make even more blogs.

If you want to have total control of your website use wordpress,

blogger is also good but have limited feature unlike wordpress you can customize your website with different plugin and seo

Wordpress is you want to do SEO. Wordpress tags work just great!
Blogger is easier to work with. Simple but limited!

Your main website should be on wordpress. You can easily make a professional looking website even without a web designer. Updating it with posts is not a big hassle too. Any other site that will be pointing to your main site can be from free-hosted sites like blogger or weebly.

I use both but wordpress is miles better.
