I think WordPress is the best, forget Blogger and choose WordPress

I suggest you go with wordpress, it has lots of free plugin too and the WP is in your username :)
 
I think Wordpress is better as compared to blogger .Bcoz in wordpress you can get more themes ..and looks more professional .
 
If the site is doing fine and you have an income stream coming, why bothering tampering with it?
 
I suggest you to move the site to wordpress. It will make the site more professional and Google trust self hosted sites more than free blogging.

The main problem you may face in the decrease in traffic. So transfer the site professionally. Maintain the on-page SEO don't mess it up. Make sure you will not loose the backlinks also.

Wordpress is definitely the better option in my opinion. However with the amount of money you are earning I would probably not move over at this moment in time.
