Blogger Help Needed

I wouldn't worry about it too much -- at least not yet. You can drive yourself crazy paying too much attention to what Google is doing on a day-to-day basis. Chances are it will be indexed again soon. Just keep working on your content.

I try not to check up on my sites more than once a week. Then you can see the big picture instead of the daily ups and downs.

But to address your other question, I think the reason your 4-hour-old blog is indexed is because Google owns Blogger and everything seems to be indexed faster. (I could be wrong, but that's what it seems like based on my experience with Blogger vs. Wordpress.)

Thanks, that's some solid advice...

Both blogs are Blogger Blogs, so it's just weird because this second blog had no content and it got indexed, while the first one had a small 100-word introduction (supposedly) article on it, but it didn't get indexed so fast...

Anyway, about my Thumbnail hell, i wrote on Google Groups asking for help, if i can figure it out, i'll report here for others who may run into the same problem...

I guess I wasn't thinking about the fact that they were BOTH blogger blogs. Still, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Google has mysterious ways and you will drive yourself crazy trying to understand everything it does. As soon as you think you understand they'll change the rules on you anyway.

Ok, i still have my "Choosing a Specific Thumbnail" question for my Blogger Blog...??? Help???


I have another one. When you go to Blogger --> Settings --> Posts and comments... And then scroll down to the area where it says ---> Show Backlinks, and you can choose to Show or Hide... What should i choose???

I mean, keep in mind that we are talking about the Comments section. I would say i should Hide these backlinks because they would lead readers outside of my website. Because from what i understood reading about this setting is that other blogs that link back to you will be displayed when someone goes to leave a comment on your post, so you commenters will basically be given a few links there of sites which are not your sites... And then they may click and leave your site...

Any input on this??

Ok i figured out the "Show Backlinks" thing...

It simply displays a "link" below the comment box which when clicked takes you to write a new blog post, and the url of the blog post you are linking from is automatically displayed in the text of the new blog post...

Although, i still haven't figured out why it won't show on my blogs... It shows on a friends blog though.. Maybe it's my template, i don't know...



Facebook sharing of my blog and the thumbnail, im still struggling with that... no way that there is no way, no way, there must be a way to choose a specific thumbnail to appear when i share my blogger blog on facebook.
