Blogger doesnt rank anymore ?

Ive been building links for my blogger blog for about a month now,using scrapebox.Yahoo site explorer is telling me i have about 1200 backlinks,but im not appearing anywhere on the search for my main keywoord.

Ive seen a thread recently here that says that you can't target keywords with blogger anymore,is it true ?

When i look at the stats of my blog,most of the traffic comes from direct refferals,google images or some obscure keywoords that match some text in my articles.

Should i keep going ?

Using a special theme and some coding can help you a bit with blogger. However, it is still good to spend more of your time with a wordpress blog where you can fully optimize the pages and rank for the keywords you choose. If the blogger blogs are used to just build links for your main sites, you can continue doing that but don't expect too much miracles from blogger in terms of search engine ranking.

Ive added metatags in the html editor,but my main concern is that it wont rank no matter what.

Just go for wordpess and you would be free from all those worries.

But i heard that wordpress is banhappy on any sign of SEO,especially affiliate blogs....i wish i could pay for hosting but im in tough time financially

Go with Hubpages if you can't buy your own domain. By the way, Godaddy still has .infos going for $1.99. And you can use a verified Paypal to signup as well.

That could work,how about hosting ? Thats my main prob,iff i cant pay everymonth,im f-ed

You can use some cheap hosting for 1-2$ a month in the start. Work hard and rank them. You are in the money making game so there is a part of Return too. Just wondering about these things won't get you far. Go for self hosted wordpress blogs.

Guys,i think god just saw my plea for help,i just registered for dreamhost,with a promo code "777" and it says i got a full year of hosting for 10 bucks,in my account 110 dollars of the normal amount it says its payed up.

I sent them a support ticket to confirm this,its unbalievable

Blogger is google's pet. I got about 7 pages ranking page 1 position 3-5. Either you are getting too many links too fast, or may be they are irrelevant, or you haven't keyword stuffed your articles properly. Try gaining a few quality links from guru blogs.

My blogger blog ranks #1 on page 1 for product review keywords. It outranks all the other sites in its niche. So im not sure what everyone is talking about. Maybe im just lucky but i continue to build backlinks to it and it stays at #1. In fact, it gets more sales than my money page.

So now that i can get going with a full fledged wordpress site with my hosting,using scrapebox on my brand new domain,how much can i push the limit with linkbuilding ? I heard something about the google sandbox

Depends upon domain and niche... For start just build wordpress site... Build some web 2.0 for your money site...

Start blasting for web 2.0... Pick high PR blogs from blasted list and make manual backlink for your money site... Also do some other kinda promotion like article marketing, press release, forum profile, wiki...... long list...

Keep updating your site and your good to go... and don't forget to monetize your site

One of my old blogs came up #1 for when I typed in my bands name (The Kunadiuns) instead of the iTunes link to download it.

Blogger blogs should be fine. All you have to do is actually work on the blog though not the advertising. The people will come once good content is posted. Wordpress is better though. I agree. Great apps and ad-ons that blogger would never have. It's great and it is very hosting friendly. Just get a domain and your done.

try to put some adsense ads on the blogger blog. Its just something that I observed though. I guess google dont want you to be just a leecher.

Id give wordpress a shot. Blogger.hasn't worked for me either.
