has anyone used blogger.com and is it good ?

I have used it, like 3 or 4 years ago. It was a great place to start since I didn't have to pay anything (free subdomain) and it was easy to connect to AdSense.
is it good ?
It depends on your goal

No don't use it. It's not that good (not even close)compared to it's competitors like wordpress, wix etc.

I only use it for making web 2.0 links and not for making money. They are useless compared to paid ones.

You can make money from a blog on blogger just like you can WP or Wix.

If all you're doing is adsense and/or affiliate links, blogger is fine.

However, if you need more advanced stuff, like e-commerce etc, then Blogger isn't the way to go.

most likely wont be using ecommerce or shopify as of know, mainly just look for something free where i can make money out of it using adsense

I will suggest at least connect a dot com domain to use blogspot

I don't know whether to advise you or not, but Blogger.com has existed for practically 25 years and therefore in some way it is a guarantee, in the end, it is free and you can connect a domain to it for just a few dollars, it costs nothing to try.

Some of the Advantages in it are,

Free hosting on Google's network, nearly 100% uptime
Easy to use editor
No viruses or security patches
Integration with lots of google products and services
Very customizable through the template editor
Quick AdSense integration
Fast serving of content on Google CDN
Immediate indexing in google search engine

You can create a complete blog with it.
You can have all the functionalities of a basic blog.
Google don't show any ads.
Unlimited bandwidth.
15 GB space used from your Google drive.
You have the full control of the design and content.
You can connect your own domain without paying any extra fees.
You can even backup and migrate the blog to another CMS and paid hosting.

Considering you get all of these totally free, I will rate blogger triple A.

Blogger is a great place to start if you don't want to spend any money but please consider buying a domain to connect to blogger otherwise is pretty impossible to rank with a blogger subdomain.

blogger/blogspot is still possible for fairly simple e-commerce.

You need to have a very good blog before starting even thinking of making money. Ane other platforms such as Wordpress offer more capabilities. But each to their own I guess.
