Blogger Auto-Resize & SEO Question

Here's my setup. I have a 20 inch monitor which is actually being used as the primary display of my laptop which has a much smaller screen. If I drag Black Hat World over to the laptop, everything just re-sizes to the browser windows... however my blog does not. What is the problem? Do I need some type of CSS to throw in there?

Are leaving public comments actually bad for a blog? Even though it's automated and just words, would it not add more data to the index or would it be irrelevant to the blog's specific category and cause negative publicity, etc?
