So far I've been commenting manually and now my fingers ache considerably. I was reading earlier that comment spamming Wordpress with Scrapebox wasn't a good idea because the supplied proxies are most likely banned and that Akismet will be able to detect hundreds of comments coming in with the same website URL over several minutes and may likely add it to it's banned list. I'd read that BlogEngine owners do not have such a spam filtering service so it's freely spammable. Is this correct?

I'm starting to think I should invest in Scrapebox.

Do not spam manually, WTF are you doing on BHW

Get SB, learn it and you'll see there are plenty of WP blogs you can comment on. Just don't go blasting away before you learn the best practises, use search function in this forum.

Manually spamming was the only way forward for someone starting out. But following other people's links to find out more sites and all that with YSE is a real grind.

Can anyone handily suggest any of these best practices or point out some specific threads for me to read so I'm not left to trawl all the Scrapebox threads?

I'll go see if there's a specific Scrapebox thread so I can buy it.

Thanks.

Just curious though, is it able to bypass the different captcha things that they have? Or does it fail on those?

I don't know if this is the right way to be using scrapebox but I've been doing this:

I build my list of sites to post to, then post to them with a non existant domain as my backlink and once I get my list of sites that were auto approved I post to them with my "money" site. I just checked on Yahoo site explorer and my fake domain name has 4k+ backlinks to it already and my money site is starting to get some too.
