Hello, I started a new blog, but I think I will narrow the categories and only do 2-3 focused categories.
What do you think? I currently have 5 categories, are there many categories for a single blog?

I don't think 5 categories are too many if you have enough content to fill them. I find that readers like seeing an organized site. However, if you feel like you don't need all of those categories, narrowing them down is a great idea.

As many categories as you need, and no more.

Choosing the number of categories is similar to choosing word count for an article. Rather than aiming for a specific number, see what fits best based on your content. If you just started the blog, 2-3 categories is probably enough, but over time you might need 5-10 or even 50 categories to properly structure your site.

I think that more categories will be interesting to more people. But of course, each category should be interesting and useful. See for yourself if you can handle it.

Depend on how broad or narrow your blog niche.

It doesn't matter if you have single or multiple categories as long as you interlinking properly.

I think you should go for blog with multiple categories. I agree that it would be hard to rank initially but you will love it in long run.
Blog with multiple categories will have more opportunities for creating backlinks and thus you will increase your DA of site as a whole.
Once you have earned good DA then you will easily rank with whatever you publish.
Increasing DA of multiple sites is hectic and laborious too.

5 is not too many... As long as you post good quality articles on regular basis.

Just seen your Blog which is on tech niches that's really good.

There are just only 5 categories Business, Cryptomania, Money, Marketing & webmaster.

I don't think 5 categories are over categories

It's doesn't matter as long as you provide useful and interesting content to your readers. But, of course if you narrow it, you can get niche focused readers and followers.

If you have enough content to post on each category, you can have many categories. It is always good to have organised template where user can find what they want in a easy way.

I like multiple categories as long as they all mesh together.
