Wombat that might work thank you for your suggestion. I'm having trouble with the RSS feeds,,,right now it is not updating or posting at all. And the video tutorials skip this section completely on the update and ping. Help anyone?
Firstly the files must be uploaded to the server with your FTP program set to binary. I use winSCP http://winscp.net/eng/index.php (Great program and it is free)
Then you chmod the files and folders as per the directions.
Then you go into cpanel and create a database.
Go to the blogsolution set up page and tell it the database.
Program is installed.
Now here is the part you are having trouble with:
On the "operations center" page there are three places where it says "Important notes! Please click here"
When you click there it will show you the string to copy and paste into the cron section of your host cpanel
There are three crons. One to grow the number of blogs, one to post and one to ping. Set the aggregate (post) and the ping crons to work every hour of every day.
Set the one that one that releases new blogs from your list to run once a day or once a week or whatever,
Now back in blogsolution click settings at the top of the page.
On the settings page tell it to run the aggregation and ping cron to run at random times. Say, post two times a day and ping once.
Here is something that I didn't know about until I read it by accident in the blogsolution forum.
Go to http://mm.theblogsolution.com/ and input your serial number.
That page will show ALL your blogsolution installs even if you have many installs on different hosting accounts. This is great.
If you have a new site to promote you can add the link to every blog you have with one click. Neat eh?
