Hey all,
I’m new to the site, I’m JG and I’m 18.
Sorry if this lacks detail, I’m writing this with not a lot of time on my hands but I’ve had an idea on a site I could make, and I’m seeking feedback or any advice to whether this is worthwhile.
To make it as brief as possible, I live within the Lake District in England, which is a tourism hotspot and amasses over 3M tourists a year from all over the world, who make use of the area’s vast selection of hotels and restaurants as well seeing the amazing sights here.
I acquired the domain, (Lakes is short for Lake District, it is commonly used) and break as in holiday/vacation. I was thinking, the domain itself may not be profitable per say, but I could build a site around the Lake District, writing articles, featuring local restaurants/hotels or even services such as boat rides (Maybe offer a subscription service for restaurants to be shown on the site) , monetise with adspace etc. The term “lakes break” has good searches on Google trends and could rank highly in my opinion with well-written articles including prime keywords.
The Lake District is very popular and has a big presence online and it’s one of England’s most popular staycation destinations. I have various ideas to grow the brand, run giveaways for restaurant/hotel spend, run a subscription service for hotels/restaurants to appear on the site and in turn receive more customers etc.
I have a lot of ideas for this site, was just wondering if anyone had any feedback, advice or if anyone had done something familiar before?
I appreciate your time.
