Hi there, does a blog on a web store really helps to drive traffic to it and convert?
I mean, people came to read about stuff, why would they want to buy a product now?

Thanks!

For a Web store that is health related, it may work. This is because if for instance you came to a blog to read about a health condition affecting you, then you see a product on the Web store there that will help, you may consider buying it. Just my thoughts though, I am no expert.

It's important to have a blog for these kinds of pages. First, you can apply SEO to your blog posts. Then, you'll also have the chance to soft-sell your products in the blog posts. Would be a win-win situation for you :)

Your blog should use the K L T process to convert traffic into product buyers.

Read up on KLT and incorporate it into your content strategy.

When I write materials for online stores, I start at the END of the process: ie., where buyers buy. I then trace back to the content they need to READ so they can end up at the END.

Thanks! What do you mean by soft-sell? :)

I think he means name-drop the stuff you're selling in mid-blog, something along the lines of "and as I said in my new book, 'Why I Got My Nuts Laminated', which is available in (this website's) store section..." rather than the hard "HEY EVERYBODY! COME BUY MY NEW INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO ON MANSCAPING BY CLICKING HERE!!! ONLY 24.99!!!!"

You gotta make them believe in your product. Once you accomplish that, you just need to point a link to it.
