    Hello!

I had a few questions I need clarified in regards to blogging, so I thought I'd make a post and ask for some advice.

Google likes updated content, so I was wondering what the most efficient way to update the website while still saving time.

I realize that rewriting articles everyday and posting it is ideal, but I don't have the time.

Also, from what I've read in the other posts here, using duplicated content from WPRobot is bad as you can get sandboxed.

So, what are the best ways to keep my site updated without it being sandboxed?

Are there youtube plugins, RSS feeds, etc I can add to my blog to keep it updated? Will this help?

If so, any recommendations on plug ins would be great! Also, if you could mention if they are free or not would be helpful as well.

If there is any error in the comments above in what I already figured out, any help or correction would be appreciated as what I learned about blogging came from multiple posts throughout this forum.

Thanks in advance and any helpful response is appreciated!

There is no need to write content everyday. You can get 400-500 word content rewritten for around $2 at services available on this website and even with just 4 to 6 posts per month you can still rank if you do your keyword research and link-building properly.

But wouldn't people who update content daily have advantage over those that don't?

Is having an updated blog a lot more helpful or no?

The advantage of a lot of posts if you can get them indexed and you have a decent internal linking structure is that each page you add gives you a little more internal link juice. The problem is getting them indexed and if your site doesn't have the authority (enough inbound links) The search engines tend not to index them so not a lot of juice.

It's not just the number of posts either it's the quality and whether the search engines think they are quality. Sikander is right stating that 4/5 posts a month keeps your site fresh but it's not as simple as more posts = better.

    1) Quality of posts matter
    2) Posting frequency
    3) Authority of site
    4) Number / authority inbound links to post
    5) Number of existing posts
    6) Internal linking
    7) On page SEO

I like to start slow with a new (quality) site max one post a day then speed up once I gave about 20 posts to maybe 2 a day then slow down to 5-10 posts a month (drip them)

My posts aren't always articles sometimes a brief intro sentence - snippet of news item with link back to source. Sometimes Youtube video, Yahoo answers etc. I use WPRobot but for my good sites I always manually edit the generated content.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot for clarifying and confirming a lot of things because it really helped. I'll probably use WPRobot as well.

You can also use a plugin that takes yahoo answers and youtube videos and directly puts them on your site. I don't remember the names of them since I haven't used them in quite awhile, but I know that they show up as unique content in Google standards.

Best of luck to you man.

WP Robot use doesn't get you sandboxed. What gets you sandboxed is the pattern and frequency with which you use it. If you throw up 10 sites in a day, bombard them with 15 posts a day each and send out 1000 backlinks to them, all with the same theme and the same hosting acocunt, yea,it raises a big ole flag and off you go.
It's a really expensive plugin and it's very useful WHEN you know how to use it.

As far as keeping the quality posts and to keep generating good traffic the good old fashioned way. Then definitely create your own, 300-500 words once every week, every two at most. Ideally once a day or two. I know pro bloggers who do about 3-5 very high quality posts a day on about 3 blogs and make a killing.

But to keep your blog alive, a couple posts a week is the best way. Brainstorming ideas for it can also be a breeze if you like what you're blogging about.

    Cheers

i notice the best way when you are using semiduplicate content is get backlinks first because your domain could get flaged and you can get a hard time ranking, in the beggining lot of backlinks and original content to pass the first google test

Without not knowing how new this site is, only doing 1 post every week (if new) would work, and do that for about 1.5-2 months. And towards the end of that, you could post every 4 days.

As stated... start slow with post during this period and then you can build up. Get a link wheel going (slowly) and start backlinking.
