It all depends on what kind of traffic you need and in which niche. Sometimes even paid advertising from some services does not fit for all niches. I have already learned all this from my own experience.
 
Reddit is a very good place to post because it is very friendly to longform content.

Use all the familiar social media forums to build traffic for your page. Try to answer all relevant questions to your page around the web, in that include the link of your page.

If you've not used it, don't comment, it's poor advice.

YouTube is fantastic, target longtail keywords for your content. Hell, if you can, mirror the content on YouTube. But do it in a viewable manner, the method of content is important.

Well to get traffic isn't simple. I will advice all social media platforms and may be Email marketing
