blog post redirects, duplicate content, and rankings

Howdy!

I recently had my blog migrated from bigcommerce to Wordpress (new URL created). The blog and blog posts were redirected to the new URLs successfully but my questions are these:

Pages that were already indexed with the old URL, will this now be considered duplicate content with the URL redirects now in place?

Should I delete posts on the old blog (even though redirects are in place)?

I assume it will take some time before google realizes the change so should I submit the old URLs with google search console de-indexing tool? Since it's a redirect, I don't want google to de-index the new URLs.

Any guidance would greatly be appreciated.

No, if you did your redirects correctly. Eventually, the new URLs will get indexed instead.

Absolutely not. You should even keep the old URLs in a sitemap for at least a few months. This helps Google to notice the redirects properly.

Stop being overly initiative. Set up the redirects and sit on your hands.
