I have been watching the videos on seo method.com and they mostly talk about seo on html pages.

Is it a waste of time setting up WP Blogs, and autoblogs?

I am sure that some of you have mastered this whole traffic and revenue thing, I am still trying, but feel like I am beating my head against the way.

Thanks for any help.

Ive messed with the SEO method.com before and I wouldnt pay much attention with it.
Heres the fast and easy low down.
HTML, CSS, PHP all are used in websites and blogs because they are all the same thing in the eyes of the spiders. Its the intended use of the website that determines if its a Website or a Blog. Anything you do SEO wise on one you should do on the other which is proper page title, proper meta descriptions, inbound links and cross linking.

Now to answer the question specifically, sites using blog software such as wordpress will traditionally get crawled and indexed faster because Google recognizes the software platform and knows that a blog should be updated with new content and comments more often then a static website, so Google will crawl blogs more regularly. And with the benefit of pinking services for blogs it helps.

Wordpress rules.

It's easy to handle, you are up and running quickly, there are many good plugins that make the tech part of SEO relatively easy (but you have to learn the theorical stuff on your own)

Plus, blogs in general will usually get crawled more frequently and rank higher than a traditional website.

Conclusion: invest some time in learning WP till you master it and then you will use it everywhere, as much as possible.
