I have an old blog network consisting of a few dozen sites that I monetize using Adsense.

I've abandoned it because the earnings, albeit passive, have become negligible.

Is it still worth reviving it today, picking it back up and working on it, trying to increase traffic and earnings?

No. Start only one website with higher budget. Because, now you have to compete with big players.

If there was scope left, you would have not let it die at first place. You would have already seen the earnings decline with time.
 
if you have the traffic you can make the money.

And since your sites are aged and (presumably) still in good standing with google it probably won't take much to revive them. And then you can switch to Ezoic or other networks when you have the traffic, so IMO it's worth reviving them...
 
You can try bringing your old blog network back, but keep in mind it might take time to earn much from it.

Combine with new content styles
And uses different monitization method,
AdSense income is low, there should be other revenue model for better earnings
 
Adsense and other pay per click networks will be difficult to monetize with declining traffic. The amount of time and effort you put in, by means of content, building links to rank them and other SEO activities - the return you will get won't make economic sense.

If your sites have good DA and they are worth selling links then you can monetize it that way. Find out a content partner who can provide regular articles and in return build links from your blogs.

I have done this successfully in the past, several years ago when I was active with Guest Blogging, I reached out to several blog networks like yourself and took the complete publishing rights - I used to write content that ranked well, targeted long-tail keywords on targeted niches and in return of that content, I built links from those articles.

Add a Guest Blogging page on your blog and check the response and see if people still contribute good articles in return of backlinks.

honestly it depends but in 2025 an old blog network can still be worth reviving if the domains have real age, backlinks, and history. the key isn’t pumping out random new content anymore, it’s pruning the dead pages, updating the best performers, and tightening topical focus so google sees each site as a legit resource again. adsense alone won’t make it crazy profitable, but if you rebuild authority and diversify income (affiliates, lead gen, direct offers), it can turn back into a solid asset instead of dead weight. I’d revive one site first as a test before putting energy into the whole network.
 
It's worth testing, that's all I can say. You can never know until you test. But the chances are pretty low.
 
It depends on the niche. If you can create original content in high-CPC niches, the earnings can be worthwhile.
 
If your blog network is still indexed and not penalized, then it’s worth reviving. Just update the content, optimize the technical parts, and rebuild some backlinks — low cost but still has good potential to increase traffic and earnings.
 
If your sites still have some authority, breathing new life into them can pay off but only with smart updates, modern SEO and relevant content.
 
Reviving your old blog network can be worth it if you can update content, implement current SEO strategies, and identify profitable niches, but be prepared for competitive challenges in today's digital landscape.

If the sites still get some traffic and arent completely outdated, updating key content, improving readability, and making it relevant for todays audience can actually bring them back to life and generate real earnings again.

Scale your website with highly valuable content. Do some social media and parasite SEO marketing. Hope it will work.
 
Yes, it can still be worth reviving old domains have authority, which helps with SEO. But only if you update content, fix technical issues, and focus on a few high-potential sites instead of the whole network.
 
It might be worth dusting off if those sites still have some search history or backlinks. Give a few of the stronger ones fresh content and better paying topics and you could see the earnings climb again. If you don’t mind slow progress, it can turn into a nice little comeback
