Did you ever notice this issue before? I have a blog with over 1000 pages which I keep updating with newer content, around 50 articles per month. I find that I lose about 2-3 pages per month and the not indexed pages keeps going down. The website gets new articles indexed just great, but I keep losing pages.

Although it's nothing to worry about in terms of numbers, I hate it that it happens:) Any way to prevent it from happening?:)

Not that I know off.

One thing I noticed, and was really surprised, was that my new website was, and still is not indexed according to site: search. HOWEVER, a couple of article are already on page 2 of Google.

If I search for the article on Google, they show up. Under the site: search parameter, nothing. YADA.

GSC has also nothing. Strange tbh!

The diversity hires at google have completely lost control of the systems that were created by better men before them. It seems that every fuckup is followed by another fuckup.
There is no reason to deindex a page unless it has been drastically altered, but yet it constantly happens...

Yes, it happens. Google's sophistication had lost control I think so. No idea why the sites go down even when it got indexed properly. Maybe we need to study SEO and understand the reasons to avoid be indexed.
