It was better if you had asked this - which SEO tactics are best for improving a blog? Anyways, please remember that SEO is not specific to any particular type of blog or niche. Any niche that has a sizeable global audience can be reached via SEO. Before you start your niche blog, make sure this is a profitable niche and you know this stuff really well.

Wordpress is probably the best type of blog, it has the most themes, most plugins and is the most customizable. Almost everyone on this forum uses wordpress for their site.

I agree that you should be using wordpress. It is nice because it is pretty easy to use and like someone else stated the themes are great and there are so many that you can pick from, that you will be able to customize your blog in no time. Best of luck to you.

Wordpress is a great one to use. I have used it many times and without fail, it has been pretty easy on me. Even when I first started, wordpress was easy for me to use, and understand, which meant a lot to me.

Wordpress is best, the main difference between blogger and wordpress is the amount of control you have over your blog. Wp and its blog templates are more SEO friendly.
