I have seen many good blogs that have the categories " Popular Articles". How do i get to do this and also, I wanted to make my blog posts to be in the middle of column with sufficient spacing instead of cramping all the text into one column.

Also some popular themes has builtin Feature for Popular articles / posts etc

There's a bucket load of plugins for both wordpress and blogger, blogger is a bit more newb friendly im my experience. Good luck

As has been stated there are many modules that you can use on Wordpress and Blogger, but without knowing which of these - if either - you are using it's very hard for anyone to offer you sound advice or point you in the right direction.

The same applies to the layout issue you specified. In both Wordpress and Blogger there are multiple themes that you can use, so go and look on the various theme repositories out there for a theme that you like, customise it if you need to, profit.

Can anyone recommend me a theme that is similar to the requirements I wanted?
