So I have already been on this thread a few times but I always love to hear what you guys have to say about what I need to fix
my website is fifthavenuenews
just add the WWW and COM before and after as it still doesn't let me add links....

Why did you start a second thread? It seems like the first one was going fine and it's still on the first page of the blogging sub-forum.

Your blog looks great. May be the background Pattern can be changed with a simple background. It's distracting the eyes.

Agreed with that. In general it looks good, but think about background.
Also try to create and link Google+ page

The background does not fit in the text. It might get some colourful and more attractive look perhaps But I liked the way you have kept it simple and not jumbled up.
