Hello,

When replying to a blog, usually the website you type in shows up as the "Name" on your response. Does it make a difference if you type in a name like joe, john, mary, etc.?

Or, should I type in the main keyword my site is targeting like blue hand bags, free viagra, blue stilettos, etc.?

Ah Ok. So using a simple name such as John will still have the same backlinking results?

Using a simple name, will not provide you backlinks with your wanted keywords, however it will largely improve The acceptance rate of your comments.
you should use both methods, a simp;le name for highly moderated blogs, and a keyword for less moderated.

Something I like to do is work a key into the name, as in a nick.

So if you're trying to rank for blue stilettos, you might post with names like:

Blue Sammy
Sammy Blues
Stiletto Chick
Girl in Stilettos
etc

Its not as clean as a plain name, but gets some keys in there when they stick.

Thanks, how can I figure out what blogs are more moderated than others?
If a blog moderator doesn't really participate in the comments section, would it be safe to say they don't moderate that much?

Thanks for this tip! I would have never thought about this myself. :p

Haha, I had been doing this for a long time. Looks like I will see this more often now.

No, you kind sometimes tell by the quality of previous comments whether a post is moderated or just post first and see if it shows up right away. Good luck.
