Blog commenting/Scarpeboxing Dead?!

Scrapebox isn't dead. Learn how to use it properly and not just blasting to every website you come across. Smarter comments. Smarter proxy solution. Smarter targeted lists.

I don't even bother with posting to low pagerank blogs unless its to help get a link wheel or link pyramid indexed. It is a peice of the puzzle, but not the magic bullet. Learn to use it wisely, again stop blasting to tons of sites and not knowing what you are really doing.

For example, there are a lot of low PR shitty blogengine sites out there with 100s of comments on them... don't be posting on them.. I shouldn't have to explain why not ;)

I agree it's better to post on high PR sites, but also all other links are helping.
Try this:
take new site and blast comments only to PR0 or sites without PR with a lot of comments on them.
But use some big number of comments (100k or more).
You will see it's working.

When you guys are posting to autoapprove lists, do you split the lists down to unique domains and then post or do you not care and just blast with the duplicate domains still intact in the same list?

Why do people continue to post threads asking if xxx is dead?

Why not test it yourself and if you don't get the results you're after then make a decision on that!

As some of the jokers on here have already posted, don't buy it or use it!
I see your point, but it rather applies to more specific stuff. In this case the OP asks if blog commenting still works to help ranking.
Imagine if everybody would just try blog commenting and wait for weeks/months to see the results, it's just a waste of time if it doesn't work. That's why we have this forum where people raise questions and everybody gives their input. What else would be suitable for a discussion board? Threads bragging about how much the OP makes?

90% of the time I use scrapebox, I am just harvesting and building a larger "master" list.

I have two folders. One is my master master list, lol. It is the list I merge my other lists into when I am done with them. I always remove duplicate domains. I don't want to post 100 comments on the same website. One, its obvious, and two, if an admin sees 7 comments of mine when he logs in, there is a higher chance they won't get approved. It is better to spread yourself out.

I am sure others have their own methods, and that is fine. I just always always remove duplicate domains. It is a good idea to run your list through the blog analyzer to ensure they really are a site SB can handle. I can't remember if there is a way in SB to determine if a URL has comments on the page or not. I wrote a quick little software to do it for my personal use. So when I do a blast in SB, I know my entire list is the actual page where comments are at (IE: not the homepage, tag page, archive page, ect.). This dramatically increased my success rate ;)

SB is still useful, just not load and blast anymore. You've got to use it a bit smarter, build better lists and go for better quality, IMO.

SB can do a lot, as a matter of fact, I just bought another license since I'm going to have to do more "sorting" than before!

I always remove duplicate domains, not just URLs, but i remove all duplicate domains.

It helps with keeping your proxies fresh also doing this, but i only want to have 1 of my links on their site.

Scrapebox is good for scraping and thats about it, any and all high PR blogs are manual check. Thats why xrumer is a better tool if you blast high PR forums with it....

In honor of Xrumer and Scrapebox's death I am going to put up a website where everyone can upload their Xrumer and Scrapebox apps with their usernames and passwords and I will be sure to say a blessing for them before I put them onto my external hard drive where they will reside forever in a plastic tomb.

So sad....okay so who is going to be the first victim I mean sad soul to upload their account information?
Good one
Love you black hatters!

Yes xrumer and blog networks are also dead, please stop using =)

Non spammy comments like "Oh what a great post. I do love your blog" in a niche related blog still and always will work fine.

And if it ever doesn't then blog comments will always be good for some traffic.

So don't uninstal anything yet. :)
