Hey guys, I want to start posting on blogs for backlinks. I have a domain lets say Golferpro. I'm already ranked #1 for this keyword and my competition is really low. However I am ranked for lets say "free golf supplies" I know that using this as my website name may be a little bit on the spam end and I may not get that many admins approving my blog even if I read their articles and post a comment directing to their post. My question is if I use "Golferpro" will this still increase my ranking for "free golf supplies"?

I'm kinda thinking yes because the comment backlinks will still bring my sites authority up. Ergo, bringing my rankings up in my targeted keywords. However I would love to hear what you guys think.

Nexusx,

If you are asking if using "golfpro" as anchor text in a comment with a link placed on a blog will help the linked page rank for "free golf supplies", no it won't. It would help the page rank for "golfpro". If you had some terms that were synonymous or variations of free golf supplies then that would work. For instance free golf stuff, golf supplies for free, low cost golf supplies, etc. Note that even if you get anchor text in a blog comment that is beneficial for you, the site still has to have do-follow comments enabled for you to receive any SEO value from the link. Its still good to have links out on the web but many reputable blogs will strip out links or make them no-follow when they are in comments.

You may want to try guest posting to get good anchor text placement.

Here is a pretty good post on mapping anchor text to landing pages,

Hope that helps,

You might also try looking for "keyword friendly" blogs in your niche that have commentluv or keywordluv installed. This way that won't so much be bothered by you including your keywords in anchor text. Also it possible to find niche related auto-approved blogs in your niche with tools like scrapebox.

You should look for commentLuv or Keyword Luv blogs as they allow you to use up to 3 keywords. I think if you leave a good comment then there is no reason that your comments will not be approved.

Good advice. It's also in your best interest to find niche relevant blogs for you to put your links.

It will be better if you find sites/domains that is relevant to your nich and post a good comment in. I have a question here to guys that if it is good or not when we take generic KWs instead of our anchor text? Highly appreciate your helps.

Blog commenting is a great way to get some BL to your site. Find a niche that is similar to yours and then post a comment that is relevant and helpful .

Thanks guys for your help.

Blog commenting is one of the best way to increase the SERP for specific keyword, but blogs must be High PR 4+ and 75% blogs must be do-follow 25% no-follow. Also check the OBL of the page, keep in mind OBL never be more than 100.

I second this. You always need a combination of low pr and high pr blogs. Also, you need to have mainly do follows but a nice sized amount of no follows as well. It makes it look more natural to google.

Wow, I see some website say that "SE look Blog comment is spam" so i don't do it from that. Now i know not true, it still good if blogs have High PR. Thanks "The SEO"

You should have to make the long tail key phrases for improving your keyword ranking with relevancy and also try to promote your brand name of your site.
