    Hi Guys,

    When you do blog commenting, do you put anchor text in the body of the post or in the name field? is that ideally how it's done?

    thanks guys

    i'm no expert but you will get a much higher chance of getting your post approved or not deleted if you use NO anchor text, its still a backlink after all.

    Most of the time you'd use it in the name field. But then if you do that, (and you're spamming) then it might be held for spam and/or never approved. Most of the Work press plugs will look for links, if they find too many, it will often automatically mark that comment as spam.

    Agreed. You'll get into spam very fast if you do use anchor text in your name field, especially on WP blogs. I learn from experience that when you are inside the spam, it's harder to get out. If they have akismet, you'll in trouble and you must manually contact akismet to get your domain removed from their black lists.

    Wordpress = bad for backlinks.

    I scour the internet for backlink sites, and as soon as I see a wordpress site, even if it has commentluv, I close it instantly. Moderated / akismet = total waste of time. Aside from 10-15% "decoy" anchor texts, such as your name, url or "click here" to make your sites backlink profile look natural, you've got to get your anchor text as your keyword or a close variant to get a good backlink that will help you rise in the serps.

    There are millions of high PR trusted sites out there with no moderation at-all, and no, they are not all spammed to hell although it is an issue sometimes I will admit.
