Blog commenting fail, why?

Just one reason : They blocked you because spam reason !
Why they mask you as spammer ? Ask them. I don't know !

So that's why I'm getting a white screen after submitting a comment, thanks for bringing this up.

That is why it's frustrating to do blog commenting, I would rather do other backlinking methods instead of wasting more time trying to get my comments approved

This might be the 100th time I read such a post.

Well, the reason for the white screen is that your URL is akismeted, ie: Banned by Akismet

You can contact AKISMET themselves to get off their list, but i would advise you not to waste your time with that as they are not very responsive.

This happens when your comments get flagged by mods a couple of times (As simple as that)

And believe me, even Quality comments will get you in the Akismet list since lots of webmasters hate to see keywords in the Name field.

My proposal is this. How about building a group here, let us put comments on each others blogs and flag it as non spam? Will that make sense?

Yes, this method actually worked 2 years back. I used to make my own wordpress blog.. post comments and fromt he admin panel had it marked as NOT SPAM.

This used to work until someone posted that method in public, making AKISMET more aware of the situation thus preventing it.
